In 2014, Krystal was inspired to start up her own social media marketing company. Having worked with a number of small business owners, she noticed they all presented the same problem: “We’re doing great things, but nobody seems to know about them!” Never one to shy away from a challenge, Krystal founded Reflective Marketing in order to help these and other business owners illuminate their messages and get in front of their target audiences.
Krystal had the experience to meet the challenge head-on. Prior to starting Reflective Marketing, she had spent a number of years as a social media associate and digital marketer with ClearRisk Inc. – a leading provider of risk management solutions – before moving on to work with a small, local agency, where she came face-to-face with clients from the varied industries of real estate, mortgage and finance, food services, tourism, retail, and more.
A Bachelor of Commerce graduate from Memorial University, in her final year of study, Krystal gained a coveted top ten-finalist position in the nation’s top advertising competition: Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec. Her performance in this competition landed her an advertising internship in the marketing department of General Motors of Canada.
Krystal now enjoys working with her loyal client base, helping to illuminate their brands and attract their target audiences. In her spare time, she volunteers with the TEDxStJohns marketing team and is a member of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA), NLOWE, and Hospitality NL. Krystal is a Google AdWords Certified Professional and holds an Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot.
